PARENT GUIDE FOR KID ACTIVITIES IN CHICAGO METROPOLITAN AREA

Reviewed by Maria Plasterer 6/2/2011

With summer on the way, don't forget about Oaklee's Guide if you're a parent in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Oaklee's Guide is a great resource for all sorts of family activities, including coupons and special deals. It was started in 1999 by a group of surburban Chicago moms who wanted to provide a resource for local kid activities. The coupon section is searchable by zip code, category or keyword. The Home page offers these search functions, and in addition, search by age-appropriate range. For summer, I think the Chicago Metro outdoor pool and waterpark section is especially useful. It lists many of the local area pools and waterparks with descriptions of such features as zero entry, diving boards, slides & spray features, changing areas, concessions, party availability and a link to coupons for many of these facilities. The Quick Links section includes such categories as Classes, Hair Salons, Indoor Swimming Pools, Museums, Nature Centers, Party Service Directory and Special Needs. If you're a new parent or just looking for new stuff to do this summer, check out Oaklee's Guide.
